Silas Marshall

Silas Marshall was called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light over fifty years ago. His call began while he was in the music industry as a singer and songwriter of his original musical works. All Silas wanted to do was to be successful within the music industry, but God had other plans.

After the first five years, the contract came to an end. He thought most of his fight and servitude would be over, and now success would finally be in his hands (fame and fortune). But as the next seven-year contract was presented with a stipulation that he must forget that Jesus was explicative, He couldn’t believe his ears, so he asked what was said to him.

It was repeated as a demand to enter into a new contract for the success he had been working for five years. Prior to that demand, all Silas wanted was what most wanted from the success of the music industry. But as Silas thought about the demand that was made, he responded with “Not under that demand.” Something rose up in him, and he said, “As long as I’ve known you, I have never brought up the name of Jesus, but now you tell me I must forget that Jesus, I don’t know Jesus but I’ll look into who Jesus is because he seems to be so important to rich and powerful men like you.”

So Silas did just that, walked away from the success he wanted so much to find out more about Jesus, and he did. This action took Silas on a fifty-year journey to find out the truth that set men and women of God free, and that truth was in Jesus Christ and his salvation plan.
